Community Parks & Playgrounds Program Grant Proposal Process
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is now accepting grant proposals for the Community Parks and Playgrounds Program. These proposals will be reviewed and considered for submission to the Maryland General Assembly as part of the Governor’s FY2024 budget proposal. Here is the
full information packet, including the proposal guide and forms. Individual forms may be downloaded from the links below and filled out electronically or manually.
The FY2024 application submission period is now closed. Please check back in June 2023 for information on the FY2025 grant round.
Please be advised that incomplete or late applications may not be considered for funding.
Brief guide on how to apply for funds
Proposed projects must be entered on this list.
A separate application must be completed for each proposed project on the Grant Proposal List.
Provide detailed responses on no more than five (5) pages.
Attachments required for each proposed project.
If needed. You will either need a deed to the property held by the project applicant or a joint use agreement signed by the property owner.
Details of the project costs so the state can reimburse your expenses up to the amount approved by the Board of Public Works.
