Event Quest Materials


Come to the Nature Center and discover life of the First People of the Eastern Shore.

Tradition Bearers will show samples of native food and the containers used to hold and cook them.

Hands on activities may include creating containers or making jewelry using natural resources.

Hone your eye-hand-coordination with a corn cob target game.

Observe the art and technology of flint knapping and use of native tools.

See the tradition bearers burn a dugout log canoe. Grind corn using native tools and techniques.

There is always much more!
At noon participants will see a live fire starting demonstration without the aid of modern technologies.

All activities are free to all participants. Donations to Pocomoke Indian Nation, Inc. (501c3 organization) are always welcome.
