Deep Creek Lake State Park's Annual "Art in the Park" Event Quest

Join us at Deep Creek Lake State Park’s 22nd annual “Art in the Park” event. During this event, guests can choose to participate in 4 additional activities to complete the Event Quest and earn an extra stamp for their passport! They’ll meet a naturalist, make a native plant seed ball, paint a pollinator pole, and take a photo with a monarch butterfly cutout.
This Annual Event includes original artwork and fine craft including: jewelry, photography, pottery, baskets, painting and more by regional artisan vendors. Food, Nature Programs, Silent Auction and Craft Demonstrations, all on the Shores of Deep Creek Lake State Park! Pack a picnic and stay for the day! Camping is also available at Deep Creek for those who may want to explore the park a little more.
Deep Creek Lake State Park is located at 898 State Park Rd, Swanton, MD 21561. There is a service charge to enter Deep Creek Lake State Park, however the fee will be waived for families that show their Park Quest Passport.

From Pittsburgh: Take I-79 south to I-68 east. Exit 14A (Route 219 South Deep Creek Lake). Continue on Route 219 South for 18 miles. Turn left onto Glendale Road. Continue on Glendale Road for one mile, crossing over the Glendale Bridge. Immediately after crossing the Glendale Bridge, turn left onto State Park Road. Continue on State Park Road for one mile until you see the information sign for the state park facilities.

From Washington, D.C.: Take 270 north to I-70 west to I-68 west. Exit 14A (Route 219 South Deep Creek Lake). Continue on Route 219 South for 18 miles. Turn left onto Glendale Road. Continue on Glendale Road for one mile, crossing over the Glendale Bridge. Immediately after crossing the Glendale Bridge, turn left onto State Park Road. Continue on State Park Road for one mile until you see the information sign for the state park facilities.
